A parapsychologist who went where the objects moved. In 1958, at the Herrmann house on Long Island, William G. Roll and J. Gaither Pratt of the Duke Parapsychology Laboratory catalogued 67 disturbances, found no evidence of fraud, and proposed a name: recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis, or RSPK. Later, with the Psychical Research Foundation, he logged 110 incidents in an Indianapolis home in 1962. In Miami in 1966 he watched Julio as an alligator ashtray crashed to the floor behind him. By 1984 he was the foundation's director, defending the Columbus case of Tina Resch as genuine RSPK.
