Psychical Research Foundation

Organisation 5 stories, 1962 to 1984

Poltergeist cases kept bringing investigators from the Psychical Research Foundation to troubled homes. Its parapsychologist William G. Roll stayed in the Indianapolis house in 1962 and chronicled 110 movements and incidents. In Miami in 1966, the writer Susy Smith alerted Roll at the foundation in Durham, North Carolina, and he arrived on January 19. In 1974 Keith Harary and Gerald Solfvin came from the foundation at Duke to the Goodin house in Bridgeport. By 1984 Roll was its director. In Columbus he logged fifteen movements of objects in 52 minutes, though skeptical accounts say he never saw one move on its own.
