An Argentine ufologist, Fabio Zerpa turns up across decades of the country's strangest cases. In the 1973 Dionisio Llanca abduction, he led a private study called Operación Bordeu, with eight doctors. Under hypnosis and sodium pentothal, the missing time filled in. Years earlier, in the 1968 Vidal teleportation story, he claimed an Army Intelligence general had said the case was real. Then came 1985 and the OVNI del 17. Zerpa, of ONIFE, called the glowing object a directed extraterrestrial vehicle and relayed a pilot's account that it moved away whenever he climbed toward it. It was later identified as a French MIR stratospheric balloon.
