The Argentine capital has drawn more than one crowd to its windows. Friday, 16 July 1965. Two bright discs hung motionless over the city for ten minutes, then flew off at high speed, and a United Press photograph caught them as two white lights. Twenty years later came the OVNI del 17. On 17 September 1985 a glowing object lingered for hours across Greater Buenos Aires, watched from Villa Lugano to Lomas de Zamora, before it was identified as a CNES MIR stratospheric balloon. The neighbourhood of Villa Urquiza also features in lists of Argentine cases, for a daylight silver disc in 1988.
