An author who returns again and again to British cases, often working from official files. He wrote up PC Colin Perks's 1966 Wilmslow sighting from the Ministry of Defence file as "A British Socorro?". He dates the intelligence officer's interview with Perks to 1 February 1966. In the Ilkley Moor alien photograph case of 1987, two men calling themselves RAF Intelligence officers came asking for the picture. Redfern later claimed the Ministry of Defence had sent them. He also revisited the Charlton Crater of 1963. There he raised a missile, an aircraft or a deliberate hoax as possible causes. None was ever confirmed.
