A detective constable with the British Transport Police. Gary Heseltine compiled PRUFOS, the Police Reporting UFO Sightings database, launched in January 2002. It has grown to about 550 cases and about 1,100 officers, and it begins with Haworth in 1901. For Windermere in 1977 it counts 17 officers, a case Heseltine ranks among the three biggest multi-officer police cases in Britain. Werrington in 1969 survives there and nowhere else. As editor of UFO Data Magazine, he also weighed in on the 2008 Sun photograph of the Dudley Dorito.
