Rosenheim is a poltergeist case. It was investigated by Bender, and it stands among his Freiburg cases beside Thun and Schleswig. Later writers kept returning to it as a benchmark. When Bender published the Pursruck case of 1970, it sat right beside Rosenheim. In 2010, writing for the Society for Psychical Research, Alan Murdie set the South Shields Poltergeist beside Rosenheim and Enfield. And in 2026 the writer Tomioka Sōsuke retold the Kitasuna stone-throwing poltergeist of Tokyo, 1935, alongside Rosenheim and Amherst, Nova Scotia, in 1878.
