Enfield

Place 8 stories, 1941 to 2005

Two places share this name in the archive. One is a small village in White County, southern Illinois, home to about 750 people in 1973. That year it gave its name to the Enfield Monster, a three-legged visitor at Henry McDaniel's door, and logged another sighting in June 1976. The other is in North London. At 284 Green Street, Brimsdown, the Hodgson family lived through the Enfield Poltergeist of 1977. Later cases, including the South Shields Poltergeist and the Dodleston Messages, are set beside it.
