More unusual experiences were reported in the areas said to be haunted, and his team tracked magnetic field and lighting variations. His 2001 study of Edinburgh's South Bridge Vaults found reports clustered where people had been told a place was haunted, and sceptics later cited it against the Mackenzie Poltergeist. August 1996.
