A frog-faced legend from the outskirts of Cincinnati. Its roots lie in Robert Hunnicutt's 1955 report of three grey figures beside a dark road at Branch Hill, with a frog-like mouth. Then came 1972. Officers Ray Shockey and Mark Matthews reported sightings of their own, and the Loveland Frog grew. In 2016 Sam Jacobs said a frog stood up near Lake Isabella. Loveland made it the city mascot in 2023, and in April 2026 Ohio House Bill 821 proposed it as the state's official cryptid. The Charles Mill Lake Monster is often compared to it.
