Leonard H. Stringfield directed CRIFO and later became known as a crash retrieval researcher. September 2, 1955. He published the Branch Hill bridge report in *Orbit*, passed to him by Herbert Clark of the Ground Observer Corps. A year later he and Ted Bloecher interviewed Robert Hunnicutt, and Stringfield drew the beings under the witness's careful supervision. In 1980 a security police sergeant known as "Jeff Morse" wrote to him about the Fort Dix shooting, and in January 1987 Stringfield met him. In February 1994 he published the anonymous Coyame report, calling it authoritatively written while admitting the risk of baloney.
