A husband and wife who ran APRO, the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization. Reports came to them from far afield. From Caracas, Joseph Rolas sent word of the Petare hairy dwarf encounter of 1954, which the Lorenzens wrote up in the APRO Bulletin and later books. It was the first Venezuelan report they had received of occupants collecting samples. Their 1977 book Abducted! told two later cases. One was the Sandy Larson abduction on I-94 in North Dakota in 1975. The other was the 1973 Pat Roach family abduction, where they called the witness "Patty Price" and set the story outside a small Midwestern town.
