Petare

Place 3 stories, 1954

A town near Caracas, and the place where Venezuela's 1954 run of hairy dwarf reports began. Around 2 a.m. on the night of November 28 to 29, truck drivers Gustavo González and José Ponce were heading to Petare to collect a load. On Calle Bella Vista, a glowing sphere blocked the road. They described a struggle with a hairy being and a paralysing beam of light. A knife glanced off its body. Less than two weeks later came the fight at Carora, and three weeks on, José Parra's encounter near Valencia.
