An author whose retellings tended to enlarge the cases he touched. His book What We Really Know About Flying Saucers appeared in 1967. In José Parra's 1954 Valencia road encounter, the disc hovered less than 3 meters above the ground. Binder later put it at nine feet. Writing about the 1954 Walesville F-94C crash, he claimed the heat could only have come from the UFO, an early step in a story that kept growing. He also spread tales, as did Maurice Chatelain, that UFOs watched the Apollo 11 landing itself.
