Sighting record / 1961
Saturday morning, 5 August 1961. Mt Hale station, in the Murchison district of Western Australia. A shearing contractor looked up when a colleague pointed at the sky. Two objects. Round in shape. Bright silver. They crossed fast, in pairs, and were gone within about two minutes. Then came more. By about 9.15 a.m., 12 objects had passed over the station. They left something behind. A white substance drifted down, taking on various shapes as it fell. The men picked it up. It looked like a fine mesh. It crumbled very easily. One witness said it vanished in his hands as it touched his skin.
