An Air Force investigative arm, it turns up again and again where a story needed checking. July 1952. After the Salem Coast Guard Air Station photograph reached the Pentagon, AFOSI special agent Richard W. Randall filed a report dated 21 July. In the Fort Dix / McGuire AFB alien shooting case, AFOSI objected that a key form did not follow proper Air Force usage. Then came Majestic 12. In September 1988 an AFOSI agent passed a copy to the FBI in Dallas. On November 30, 1988, AFOSI told the Bureau no such committee had ever been authorised. Brad Sparks later blamed Moore, Doty and other AFOSI personnel.
