A small community on the Little Miami River, near Loveland, Ohio. May 25, 1955. About 3:30 a.m. Robert Hunnicutt, a short-order cook, was driving home along the Madeira-Loveland Pike near Hopewell Road. His headlights fell on three short figures in the grass beside the road. The Hunnicutt Encounter became the root of a lasting local legend, later retold as a travelling businessman's meeting with frog-faced beings. It resurfaced as background to the Loveland Frog Police Sightings of 1972.
