Peter Rogerson compiled it. INTCAT is his catalogue of close encounter and entity reports, and it turns up again and again when old cases are weighed. On the Merkel airship anchor of 1897, it cites Donald Hanlon in Flying Saucer Review and Michael Busby, and calls the story a definite newspaper hoax. For Bishop Michaud's torpedo-shaped fireball over Burlington, Vermont, in 1907, it offered another idea. The object looked more like a burning balloon. Rogerson also added the Marston Moor phantom Cavaliers of 1932, first collected by Sir Ernest Bennett.
