Place 3 stories, 1890 to 1972

Two different places share this name in the archive. One is the Australian state, where the swamp at Wylonemby lay about fourteen miles from Euroa, a township in its north-east. In 1890 locals spoke of a creature there, though pythons do not live in that part of Victoria. The other is the city of Victoria, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island. August 19, 1972. Two teenagers said a silvery, scaled creature came out of Thetis Lake, about 12 km from downtown, and chased them from the beach. The Victoria Daily Times ran the story on August 22.
