Loch Ness Investigation Bureau

Organisation 6 stories, 1938 to 1969

Its members reached well beyond Loch Ness. The Loch Ness Investigation Bureau twice looked into Georgina Carberry's 1954 horse-eel sighting at Lough Fadda. In 1968 its members gathered in Clifden, among them F. W. "Ted" Holiday, Dr Roy P. Mackal and Captain Lionel Leslie, with one account also naming founder David James. That July they stretched a net across Lough Nahooin to snare the Coyne family's creature. Then, in 1970, bureau members formed a Loch Morar Survey, said to be prompted by the Morag attack on Duncan McDonell and William Simpson's boat.
