An author who gathered the world's lake monster lore between two covers. His book, In Search of Lake Monsters, appeared in 1974. It carried the 1960 account of three priests on Lough Ree, describing a large black animal swimming up the lough, and became the main secondary source for that case. Georgina Carberry's 1954 encounter at Lough Fadda found its way into the same pages. So did the 1964 tale from Lake Khaiyr in Yakutia, repeated for Western readers alongside Tim Dinsdale's The Leviathans.
