Artist, playwright, stage magician and psychic entertainer. Tony "Doc" Shiels was born in 1938 and billed himself as "The Wizard of the West." Living in Cornwall in the 1970s, he is generally credited with naming Morgawr, the sea giant of Falmouth Bay, and was among those promoting it. In April 1976 The Stage reported his plan to contact the creature by psychic means. He also named the Owlman of Mawnan. In 1977 he turned to Loch Ness. He called his practice "surrealchemy." He did not simply hunt monsters. He claimed to raise them.
