A Cornish harbour town, and the home port of more than one sea monster story. September 1903. The tug Triton of Falmouth was heading home from Dublin when Captain White saw something about 15 miles off the Longships, and he told the Falmouth Packet. Seven decades later the same waters gave rise to Morgawr, the Falmouth Bay sea serpent. Witnesses watched from Pendennis Point in 1975, and the Mary F photographs reached the Falmouth Packet early in 1976. That year the Owlman was reported near Mawnan Smith, close to Falmouth.
