Ed and Lorraine Warren worked under this name. The New England Society for Psychic Research appears in the archive as the banner they carried into troubled homes. Late 1973, by Andrea's dating, the Warrens arrived at the Perron family's house after a friend, Keith Johnson, called them. January 1986. They reached the Smurl home in West Pittston, where two unapproved exorcisms had already failed. In the Annabelle doll case of 1970, the society was one link in the single chain of retelling, alongside lectures and the book *The Demonologist*, with no police, church or newspaper record to confirm it.
