A clairvoyant and medium with the New England Society for Psychic Research, Lorraine Warren worked alongside Ed Warren on some of the archive's best known hauntings. Andrea Perron dates their arrival at the Old Arnold Estate to the night before Halloween in 1973. Lorraine said she knew the house was haunted the moment she walked in. January 1986. The couple reached the Smurl home in West Pittston, where Lorraine said four entities were present, one of them a demon. At 208 Meriden Avenue, Southington, the Warrens declared the house infested by demons. She later called the film it inspired very, very loosely based.
