Ilkley Moor

High ground between Ilkley and Keighley in West Yorkshire. Ilkley Moor forms part of Rombalds Moor, and multiple UFO sightings have been reported around its Twelve Apostles stone circle. 1 December 1987. The moor gave its name to the best known case of a wave that author Timothy Good said involved hundreds of witnesses across the United Kingdom, the episode behind the Philip Spencer alien photograph. Weeks earlier, the same wave had reached Brierley Hill in the West Midlands. Ilkley Moor also sits among the region's police cases, alongside Todmorden in 1980 and Howden Moor in 1997.
