An investigator from the north west of England, Peter Hough later co-founded NARO. In 1978 he and Steve Balon looked into the Lowton A580 silver figure for NUFON, the Northern UFO Network, and wrote it up in Northern UFO News #55. His account of the Simonswood Moss clawed figure appeared in UFOs 1947-1987, published in 1987 for BUFORA. It is the earliest known record of that night. Then came Ilkley Moor. Jenny Randles put Philip Spencer in touch with him, and on 16 March 1988 Hough sat in as hypnotherapist Jim Singleton explored Spencer's missing time.
