Two men named David Martin appear in this archive. The first was a researcher who, with Alastair Boyd, investigated the Surgeon's Photograph in the 1990s. 13 March 1994. The pair published the confession of model-maker Christian Spurling, who described a plastic wood head and neck on a clockwork toy submarine. Their work also touched Marmaduke Wetherell's Loch Ness footprints of 1933. The second was a Shiloh police officer during the St. Clair County triangle sighting of 2000. He described an extra-wide triangle, 75 to 100 yards across, floating over a field. His windows were open. He heard nothing.
