A researcher who went back to old cases and read the files again. David Marler served as MUFON's Illinois state director and investigator. Revisiting the Farmington Saucer Armada of 1950, he found that Farmington does not even appear in Project Blue Book's monthly tally, and he turned up a misfiled witness report with a sketch in NICAP's October 1950 files. His book *Triangular UFOs* presents the 1975 Lumberton wave as the first well-documented wave of triangular UFO reports in the United States. On the St. Clair County Police Triangle of 2000, he concluded that the timing and terrain fit a single tracked object.
