Late November 1989. Over Belgium, silent black triangles began to appear. The Belgian UFO wave ran from 1989 into 1990 and, by some accounts, 1991, its large triangles setting the template for a whole family of reports. SOBEPS and Meessen, who had looked into the Vilvoorde humanoid of 1973, would face Belgian skies again during the wave. That same month, two sisters in Campbellton watched three triangles over Sugarloaf Mountain, though no link is known. In spring 1991, with the wave still fresh, Nottingham produced low-flying triangles of its own.
