A New Zealand research group, UFOCUS NZ keeps the record on some of the country's strangest encounters. On the 1959 Moreland close encounter at Blenheim, it says J. Allen Hynek also spoke with Eileen Moreland. It adds that the case helped bring down the George Adamski groups throughout New Zealand. Revisiting John Cudby's 1969 encounter at Waipukurau Aerodrome, the group noted that the town sits on an active fault line. And for the 1977 Waimata Valley case, Suzy Hansen of UFOCUS NZ called Beverlea Parsons the first recorded New Zealand abductee to go public.
