Sighting record / 2019
Karekare Beach, West Auckland. Sunday, 31 March 2019. Around midnight, by one account. A couple saw two bright orange and red lights far along the sand, at the other end of the beach. Then one of them came straight at them. Full speed. A straight line, low over the water. It stopped directly in front of the pair and turned a bright white, like a torch shining right at them. Two minutes later it was gone. When they looked again, there were five lights around them. The couple left the beach. They could not get away from the lights.
