In 1967, during the Great British Flying Saucer Hoax, its bomb disposal team X-rayed one of the six saucers found across southern England. In 1972, Hounslow police said they knew nothing about the Acton sighting. Scotland Yard's Press Bureau confirmed it. The officers involved were never named. Then October 2002. Scotland Yard confirmed a sighting of a large black cat in Sydenham, years before Anthony Holder's reported attack in his garden.
