Farnborough. The Royal Aircraft Establishment turns up three times in the archive. August 1950. Test pilot Flight Lieutenant Stan Hubbard was crossing its airfield when he saw a pearl grey disc swinging through S-turns overhead, and weeks later watched another from the watch-tower with five RAF officers. In 1967 its apprentices, led by Chris Southall, built six saucers for Rag Week. That same year Dr John Dickinson of the establishment joined the Ministry of Defence team sent to examine Angus Brooks's flying cross at Moigne Down.
