A name that turns up in two hemispheres. In Surrey, Guildford is the nearby town for Ash Manor on Ash Green Road, where a new household moved in on 24 June 1934 and soon heard stamping in an attic with no floorboards. 5 September 1950. From the RAE watch-tower at Farnborough, Flight Lieutenant Stan Hubbard saw a disc low in the sky, in the direction of Guildford and Farnham. In Western Australia, another Guildford was then Perth's airport. In the 1951 Chowerup case, one unverified account says its air traffic control had no aircraft in the area.
