Quixadá

A town in Ceará's Sertão Central, in north-eastern Brazil, about 170 km from Fortaleza. May 1960. The novelist Rachel de Queiroz and about 20 people at the Não Me Deixes farm watched an orange light inside a misty halo. In 1976 it was the setting of the Barroso case, which Reginaldo de Athayde investigated with monthly visits for 17 years. The town now calls itself Área Q. January 24, 2014. The crew of Gol flight 9109 reported a large white object zigzagging near Quixadá.
