Point Pleasant

A small town in West Virginia, and the home of a legend. About 5 miles north lies the TNT area, a wartime munitions works. November 1966. Couples reported a man-sized creature there, and the Point Pleasant Register ran the story on November 16. Then, on December 15, 1967, the Silver Bridge to Ohio collapsed and killed 46 people, and John Keel later tied it to the Mothman in The Mothman Prophecies. Today the town has a festival, a museum and a metal statue. A different Point Pleasant appears in the 1951 Fort Monmouth case, where a T-33 crew watched a disc head out to sea.
