A Wisconsin research voice on lake monsters and Bigfoot. The Pine Barrens Institute appears in the archive as a later commentator on old cases. In 2018 Adam Benedict profiled the Rock Lake creature for it, under the name the Rock Lake Terror. On the Lake Koshkonong sea serpent of 1887, the institute pointed to undated tales of torn fishing nets. Perhaps, it suggested, a large muskellunge. Writing in 2018 on Cohomo, the Cole Hollow Road Monster, it did not mention the hoax confession. Instead it suggested a real Bigfoot may have passed through the area.
