One of the Great Lakes, its shoreline touches several cases in the archive. In 1966 the village of Kenilworth, on Chicago's North Shore, sat beside it when police reported a huge ball. Early 1967. In Ottawa County, Sheriff Bernard "Bud" Grysen watched a reddish-orange object hover low over the water near his cottage, moving quickly from side to side. Blue Book dates it February 27, and it sits on Don Berliner's list of unknowns. Then came March 8, 1994. The lake lay largely frozen, and along its eastern shore the phones started ringing.
