Nepal's capital is where yeti evidence arrives, and sometimes where it vanishes. Late 1975. The British zoologist Andrew Laurie tried to carry casts from the 1972 Arun Valley tracks through Kathmandu airport. Customs confiscated them as national treasures, and they were never found again. On 30 November, Gates showed a Destination Truth cast to the press in the city, and the story went around the world. In October 2008, Yeti Project Japan returned here from Dhaulagiri IV to tell reporters about its footprints.
