A television series that sent Josh Gates and his team after the archive's strangest creatures. Its first episode, in 2007, went looking for the mermaidlike ri in the waters off New Ireland. That same year Gates took the show to the Mzintlava River for "Mamlambo and Tokeloshe." In Kiryat Yam the team spent a week filming day and night, above and below the water. One night they saw a human figure dip into the sea and vanish. They dived after it. They found nothing. The episode, "Israeli Mermaid," aired on 24 March 2010.
