Charles Lear

A researcher and podcast UFO host whose name turns up behind several of the archive's cases. Charles Lear summarised the original investigation files on the Gary Wilcox encounter of 1964, the egg-shaped craft at Newark Valley, New York. For the Helleland close encounter in Norway, he transcribed the 1971 newsletter account of Reidar Salvesen's shattered windscreen. In 2020 he wrote a PodcastUFO article on the Cononley police sighting, raising the possibility of a third officer. He also authored a 2023 analysis of the Cowichan District Hospital UFO.
