A small town in the Falkirk council area of Central Scotland, home to about 6,000 people. From 1992 the land around it became known as the Falkirk Triangle. That year businessman James Walker found a shining star-shaped object hovering over the road ahead of him. Then it shot away. Reports of lights, cigar-shaped craft and abductions followed, and by 1994 and 1995 the national press called Bonnybridge Britain's UFO hotspot. In June 1995 the National Enquirer spoke of 2,000 sightings. The flap formed the backdrop to the Armadale "Toblerone" UFO of 1994.
