Trove

Organisation 3 stories, 1872 to 1954

Trove is the National Library of Australia's newspaper archive. Its digitised pages hold the original press reports behind several Australian cases. In 1906, The Bega Budget told of Alf Smith firing a shotgun at a hairy man in the Eden district. That account still sits on Trove, though its exact issue date has yet to be pinned down. The full Bunyip article on the Gawler pure white saucer of 1954 is there too, and may still name the three witnesses. For the Midgeon Lagoon bunyip of 1872, searches of the digitised Wagga Wagga Express have so far turned up nothing.
