Paul Cropper is a Sydney yowie researcher. He started in 1976, at age 14, uncovering long forgotten colonial era eyewitness reports. With Tony Healy he co-wrote The Yowie: In Search of Australia's Bigfoot, a book of more than 300 documented reports. His digging resurfaced the 1906 account of Alf Smith firing at a hairy man and the 1930 Nullica River item. April 1998. He and Healy spent five days at the Humpty Doo house and saw about 30 objects move. They rejected the hoax verdict that followed, and ranked the case No. 2 in their 2014 book Australian Poltergeist.
