Summer, 1977. Sandra Mansi of Bristol, Connecticut was on a family trip along the Vermont shore of Lake Champlain, north of St. Albans, near Missisquoi Bay. With her were Anthony Mansi and her two children, Heidi and Larry. Her photograph from that trip became a landmark in the Champ record, linking later cases such as the Bodette video of 2005 back to Capt. Crum in 1819 and Sheriff Nathan H. Mooney in 1883. She told her story on Unsolved Mysteries in 1992. In 2012 the family gave the original print to ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain. She died on March 31, 2018, aged 74.
