An Argentine ufologist, Roberto Banchs turns up across three cases from his country's files. In Mendoza, 1968, he led the main investigation into the casino workers' encounter. He was not satisfied with talk of a hoax, quoting a commissioner who doubted anyone could stage such a scene. In 1973 he took the opposite view. Writing in Stendek, he argued the Dionisio Llanca abduction was a fraud, noting that police found only Llanca's footprints. Then came Ingeniero White, 1975. As a CEFORA investigator, Banchs studied the case of railway worker Carlos Alberto Díaz at the time.
