Organisation 3 stories, 1951 to 2001

Peru's military air arm appears across five decades of the archive. In 1951 it weighed in on the Puerto Maldonado photograph, judging it a fairly clever piece of trick photography made for commercial reasons, and mentioning three photographs by three different people. In 1980 one of its pilots, Lt. Óscar Santa María Huertas, 23, closed on an object near La Joya in a Sukhoi Su-22. He fired 64 rounds. The object seemed unharmed. By the time of the Chulucanas sightings in 2001, the force had a small office for anomalous aerial phenomena, OIFAA, with a team of seven.
