Peru's Air Force runs its own UFO office. October 18, 2013. At DINAE headquarters in Miraflores, Lima, it was reopened as the Departamento de Investigación de Fenómenos Aéreos Anómalos, or DIFAA, with Col. Julio Vucetich citing rising sightings reported to the media. Its files include La Joya, logged as Case 0007, and Foreign Policy called Chulucanas its first officially documented case. Anthony Choy later became a lead investigator there. No DIFAA findings on the 2013 wave have surfaced.
