The Flatwoods Monster belongs to 1952. In this archive it surfaces mostly as a point of comparison in later cases. In 1962 Albert K. Bender wrote that the true form of the three shadowy visitors who told him to stop publishing resembled it. In Grafton, Robert Cockrell's headless figure of 1964 became a West Virginia legend set between the Flatwoods Monster and Mothman. In 2004 a witch attacked Officer Leonardo Samaniego's patrol car in Guadalupe. Jaime Maussan reportedly tied that case to the Flatwoods Monster too.
